Shakefire.com Review of "Pills And Ammo"

Joetown rocks it out with some loud music and screaming lyrics; stuff that will blow your ears out. There are some rocking guitar solos and the vocals can be so loud you will have no clue what they are saying...

Pills and Ammo has that heavy metal rock style, admittedly toned down a little, that forces you to listen at a lower volume, at least for a while. The album has the format of rise, fall, and then rise again. There are some rather slow and steady songs placed in the middle, presumably to calm you down. I enjoyed listening to the heavier songs, the ones rocking it with the guitars and drums, more so than the others. The lyrics did get a bit on the annoying side and they were mostly ignored as I listened to the music. I’d say give Joetown a try, you might end up liking them.

RATING: 2.37 (out of 4.00)
